  1. You should have hopped the border to Shenzen and gone to their computer market, it’s cheaper in the PRC too.

  2. yap… memory card is what I get conned for b4… 2 times.. and in 2 different countries ( which are not Hong Kong btw)

  3. Hey guys, just had crossed on something really cool! If you’re in China or Hong Kong, you can download this app and it makes you $10.00 per day if you could find 10 other people to download it. Click the link to download the app (Only works in China and Hong Kong)

    免费的全自动挂机赚钱软件,正规官方挂机网站,每天不用手动操作就能赚50-80元不等: (有详细的视频教程)

  4. For cables, cases, etc., I’d really recommend Huaqiangbei in Shenzhen, just take the Hong Kong MTR for half an hour up to the Chinese border, and then the Shenzhen Metro for 15 minutes to Huaqiang North. A lot of the stuff in HK is resold from here at about 4x the price.

  5. next time you should also go to sim city in Mong Kok, great for used camera gear and audio equipment too

  6. In my experience, ppl may try to scam you with price in Wan Chai, but not in Sham Shui Po. So WC is actually touristy, not SSP. Highly unlikely to get an empty box in HK (I don’t remember if I ever bothered to open a sealed box in the shop), but sure always better to make sure 🙂

  7. i live in HK and its really great to have such a place for us PC builders to get whatever the fk we need, sometimes its actually cheaper to buy things here because of the lack of shipping😃

  8. Heading to Hong Kong in a few hours. Actually staying in Wan Chai so I am excited. My wife and I love HK but never make it to the electronic shops. This time I got me a full day to nerd out!

  9. Are you serious? these shop you visited are the worst in Hong Kong no matter in service quality and honesty.

  10. Yeah, you can find deals but it is not that cheap any more, not what it used to be. The best part is the amount of stuff and you can try out lots of things there in person. I would say that has more value than the price it self. It is getting to the point where you can not try anything before you buy it, at least here in Europe. Also online markets are taking over everything.

  11. Welcome to HK!

In case you’re still around. I recommend the following places to visit depending on the gagets you’re interested in. Lived in HK for 30yrs and these are where I get my gadgets from.

    Sham Shui Po
    1) New Capital Computer Plaza: 2nd hand & refurbished electronics, you can find dirt cheap routers, firewalls, servers, monitors. Some desktops for usd5.00 (the very definition of pc flea market) It is one building behind Golden Shopping Arcade

    Mong Kok
    2) Sim City: 2F for custom screen protectors & camera accessories (some audiophile shops)

    3) Sin Tat Plaza: Mobile phones with cheap prices, phone cases, phone repair, iPhone trading.

    4) Super King AV Centre: Audio & Video accessories, High-end speakers, cameras (basically one shop per floor) – same mall as "The Body Shop"

  12. awesome content crit tv, I’ve been to both these markets and they are a delight on the senses when you walk in "kid in a candy store" springs to mind… but I was unable to get a gfx card cheaper than in the UK at the time maybe the exchange rate is key. next time wear the tin foil hat while "haggling" 4theFans!! more please!!!
